The mission of African Women Council
The mission of African Women Council, Incorporated is to build strong communities by providing African women access to literacy, health education, civic participation, and entrepreneurship programs; to create a better future for themselves and their families, locally and in Africa; particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Overview
African Women Council is a non-profit organization created in 2002 to encourage, enable and empower African women locally and internationally to improve their lives and build a better future for themselves and their families.
As imigrants, all of our stories have different characters but our pain hurts the same, our frustrations burden us the same, our triumphs raise our hopes the same, and we miss our familes the same.
What makes African Women Council special, is that we've "been there" and we are sharing our experiences so your triumphs and successes can hopefully happen sooner.
